How To Transform Your Health & Fitness In 2017

Every time New Year comes around it's the same story...NEW YEAR, NEW YOU!

Now I'm not going to put a downer on your new found motivation but reality is every year guys have great intentions but rarely end up maintaining the results they see short term

Here are my top 3 tips on how to transform your health and fitness in 2017 and create a lifestyle that you can maintain forever 

1. HAVE A REASON

At BLS we call this your 'WHY'

Most guys will look at HOW they will lose weight, get fitter, improve health and WHAT they will do to do this i.e. go to the gym 3 times a week, eat healthier, but  they never look at the reasons for doing it

How and what will not keep you motivated long term but understanding WHY will.

My best piece of advice would be to have a solid reason for improving your health and saying 'to be a bit fitter' isn't going to cut it

The guys I work with tend to come in and say I want to lose weight and I will do this for them but when we dig a bit deeper it normally comes down to one thing....living longer for their families (and not being miserable while they do it)

Most the guys have families and their poor health and stressful jobs are holding them back from really enjoying family life.

Choose your WHY carefully and make it something that will motivate you to be better for life!

2. HAVE A PLAN

Most guys don't transform their health and fitness because they try to do it on the fly and have no plan and no structure

The new year comes around and 'now is the time to make a change' so you join the local gym, get and induction and you're on your way

You start off great 3, 4 or maybe even 5 times in a week. Then that soon drops to 1 or 2 and you find yourself wandering around the gym aimlessly just doing a bit of mindless cardio here and there until finally you quit

Instead what you should be doing is creating a plan that you can maintain.

Your good intentions may mean you start going to the gym 5 times a week and eat nothing but chicken and vegetables but let's be honest are you going to keep that up?

Be more realistic and shoot for 3 times a week and then schedule them in the diary like an appointment. You wouldn't miss a work appointment so don't miss a gym appointment.

The best way to make sure you keep the appointment is to get a training buddy/buddies as they will hold you accountable and you'll be less likely to bail. This is the main reason we do things in groups at BLS.

When it comes to your nutrition plan don't go all or nothing you CAN lose weight and enjoy your food at the same time which is what the guys at BLS do time and time again!

3. GET SUPPORT

Going it alone is tough and its why over 95% of self directed fat loss plans fail!

The main reason guys don't start or quit when it comes to health and fitness is MOTIVATION

Firstly motivation isn't just this thing you will wake up with one day, it requires action and you need to take responsibility!

BUT...

With the right support, the right community around you and with guaranteed results like we have at BLS motivation isn't a problem

We have an atmosphere you will not find in any other gym and you will not only get the support of the coaches but of your peers too

It's the secret ingredient when it comes to transforming your health and fitness for life
