Competed at high level in athletics as a teenager. Kept running for fitness until having children. Decided to start competing again after children and now am a ranked athlete in my age category. Work for British Athletics as a Tutor and coach top ranked middle distance & marathon athletes.
As a runner, it is vitally important to have a strong core and upper body to increase speed and to help avoid injury. I needed a place that was friendly and non-judgemental where I could be 'one of the group'.

I find it very hard to push myself on my own. I'm quite good at leaving it till another day or making excuses not to do exercises.

My upper body and core is so much stronger now, and as a result my times on the track are getting quicker and quicker. I have also found that I have
had far less injuries than before.
I have been with the gym from the first week of opening and still come back every week.
I really love the friendly staff and all the other members are very kind and supportive. I know it sounds a bit corny but it really is a great place to get fit and change your life!
Don't be scared! The staff have a great induction process to get you started. The style of exercises they use are suitable for all levels too!
