Solve The 2 Most Common Problems Guys Face With Their Health & Fitness

Bigger-Leaner-Stronger

We get it…work is stressing you out and its pretty hard staying consistent with your exercise and nutrition with your busy lifestyle. If that’s the case this article is for you

Why do most guys get weaker and fatter as they get into their 30s, 40s and 50s?? The answer is easy…more stress and less time leading to decreased energy and motivation to do what will keep you in great shape

You know you need to eat better, you probably even know how but you probably have a hard time staying consistent with a nutrition and exercise plan and the lure of the fast food and a drink at night seems so much easier

But you can’t continue like this, it does nothing for your health and that has a knock on effect to your work, your family….your life in general. You are quite literally killing yourself

But we know at Bigger, Leaner, Stronger there is a solution. We’ve worked with hundreds of guys and have seen it all and our system allows our clients to get the mind, bodies and lives they want and deserve.

The good news is you can solve your body and health issues in less than 3 hours in the gym and with a nutrition plan that not only allows you to eat the foods you love but is so easy you cannot fail.

Firstly you need to understand what the problems are

Problem 1 – You’re life is busier than it’s ever been

Some interesting things start to happen as we exit our 20’s and enter our 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s:

  • We tend to get less sleep and wake up tired and sore.

  • Our sex hormones peak… and then start their slow decline.

  • Our crackling ankles, knees, and wrists remind us that we’re getting older.

  • We tend to snack and overeat more often, especially in the evenings.

  • We do less binge drinking, but more consistent drinking. Polishing off a bottle of wine or drinking a few beers each night becomes an ordinary routine.

Of course it’s not all negative. Lots of positive things start happening too:

  • If we’re lucky, we get a good career that’s challenging and rewarding.

  • We make more money than when we were younger.

  • We develop long-lasting relationships with people we love.

  • We start building and nurturing a family.

  • We become (presumably) smarter and more experienced.

While every guy’s life experience is different, there are a few things that remain consistent no matter who you are. For most guys, getting older usually means:

  • increased responsibilities at home

  • increased stress from work

  • less time to take care of themselves

What tends to happen next is you join a gym you go wild at for a few weeks but then stop going to pretty quickly because you’ve been left to your own devices and you are pretty bored and pretty demotivated.

The same cycle keeps happening. You tell yourself you are going to get your shit together and get into shape, re-start the gym, eat ‘healthy’ for a few weeks, realise you can’t keep it up and you are back at the start, less motivated, low on confidence and just pretty pissed off with it all.

It just doesn’t work for you right?

Wrong! exercise and nutrition works. But only if you follow a plan that is specifically designed for guys like you. Guys short on time and in need of guidance so that exercise doesn’t become another stressor in your life.

Thinking you have to dedicate a huge portion of your time and life to exercise and nutrition is normally what is stopping most guys even starting to think about getting into shape.

But you must do something right? otherwise you will just continue to add body fat, feel worse about yourself and the most damaging thing…your health decreases.

The two things you need to do to be successful with exercise and nutrition

  • Follow a plan that embraces exercise minimalism and doesn’t take over your life

  • Follow a nutrition plan based on habits and isn’t all or nothing

Our plans at Bigger, Leaner, Stronger have you in mind and involve 2 full body strength programs, a metabolic session and an optional interval session. It’s a total of 3 hours in the gym and cuts out all the fluff. We only do things that get results, anything else is just wasting time

As for nutrition we know you don’t want to be following a chicken and broccoli diet. You want to be able to go out and enjoy your food and a drink. So we plan for this, we ask for a minimum of 80% compliancy and use a fully adaptable plan that will work for you. Then a simple tick off sheet to keep you honest. It really is fool proof

Problem 2 – You know what to do but you aren’t consistent

Consistency is key. Without being consistent you will get nowhere fast.

I’m guessing you have tried things before to get into shape and to conquer your health and fitness problems but have failed?

You are not alone. The problem is you probably went from gentle to mental and didn’t take into account real life. Which led to guilt when you missed session or didn’t 100% follow a nutrition plan. This then leads to decreased motivation and lower confidence and finally you quit mull over it for a few months and start the cycle again.

What you can do to be successful

  • Make yourself accountable to a program.

  • Make yourself accountable to a person.

Make yourself accountable to a program.

Ideally, you want a program that covers a few bases:

  • It’s been tested with lots of people and actually gets results

  • It’s doesn’t take over your life or take hours on end

  • It’s something you actually enjoy doing

If you have these three bases covered you are definitely going to be a lot more likely to reach your goals and stay consistent.

So how do you know if a certain program will help keep you accountable?

After 10 years in the fitness industry, we’ve determined the following four things are of the utmost importance:

  • You need a way to measure your progress and track it on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • You need to follow a structured plan, but still have room to move at your own speed when needed.

  • You need a daily reminder to practice whichever nutrition, exercise, or lifestyle habit you’re currently working on.

  • You need it to be customisable to your skill levels, goals, and how much time you have available.

That’s what helped our clients achieve results like this:

Make yourself accountable to a person

Now this is what we think the key is to your success.

Firstly you need a coach, someone who knows the ins and outs of exercise and nutrition and can design a plan for you that actually gets results and can help you through the times you may be close to falling off the wagon. Thats where we come in. We have seen it all before and know what works and what doesn’t. I have also seen guys go through ups and downs but power through due having trust in us.

Secondly you need to work alongside likeminded people. Other guys just like you, who have the same struggles, have been there and got through them and are all working towards the same goals. All the guys we work with go through an application process so we know they are a good fit and will work well as a group. We have a strict no ego policy, we learn and all work together to reach our goals.

What to do next?

You must seek out a plan, a coach and group of guys that will help you get where you want to be and ultimately help you stay consistent. That’s why we are offering you the chance to apply for our 12 week transformation at Bigger, Leaner, Stronger.

You have a choice to either follow the path you currently follow, that is not giving you the body or life you deserve, or follow the path I am leading you down where you will work along likeminded men, find a plan that will not only get you results but will ensure you make changes for life.
